Australian Federal Police | technology report
Our friends at Future Crunch prepared a report on the technological challenges Australia and the AFP will face in the coming years, and we edited it. We helped to make the report readable and ensure the messages were getting through. We also advised on structure, formatting and referencing and prepared a glossary of terms,
For the past two years, we have researched, written and edited the bulk of The RE Ross Trust's 68-page annual report. This is quite a leap from previous years, where we've simply edited the copy they created in-house. We had direct contact with more than 20 of the Trust's fundees, helping them to tell the story of what they did with the Trust's funding. We've also helped the Trust to reshape some other parts of the report, advised on some stylistic changes and helped to design a new and improved infographic giving a quick guide to their granting strategy. An absolute pleasure.
AIMS capability statements editing
Writer, journalist and editor, Jane Lyons, asked us to provide editing support on a project she managed for the Australian Institute of Marine Science - the research, writing, design and delivery of six capability statements designed to showcase AIMS' expertise. We read Jane's drafts, provided feedback, gave feedback on design, and did a final edit and proof in line with Wiley's Government Style Manual. We think Jane did an amazing job; it was a pleasure to be involved.

The savvy thinkers at Future Crunch don't need a lot of help when it comes to writing, but they asked Big Talk to take a look at their website. We helped them to define their offerings, tease out their USPs, reduce their bios and even sent a few typos to the knacker's yard.
